‘Using AR to open and blow minds’
AR had been used for simple, slightly throwaway branded experiences - but I wanted to find a way to use it in a different way. Education seemed like a great place to start and this lead to this idea - WHAT GOES IN?. Put simply it was a T-Shirt that would be given to school children by the NHS to promote smoke free. On the front was a charming illustration of the little ones healthy lungs…
… But as soon at the went to the Smokfree website and launched the WHAT GOES IN? experience something happened. Playing on kids fascinations with anything a little bit “gross” they would see their insides right in front of their eyes… heart pumping… lungs moving in and out. But then we would show them the kind of icky bad stuff that smoking does to their amazing insides. A simple little experience that should teach a big lesson.
