‘Making Google’s digital physical’

I was asked by Google to explore how Google products could feature in a range of real-world, physical products. Here are a couple of the concepts I came up with:

Google Translate Tales.

Simple, interactive kids’ books designed to work in partnership with Google Translate’s image recognition functionality on the Google Translate app. This would allow kids to experience storytelling in a fun, new way, powered by Google Translate.

Google Cardboard Cards

Here, we would allow people to send personalized Google Cardboard experiences. By linking with other Google products (Street View, Play Music, Images), users could create a bespoke ‘Cardboard Card’ and send it to a loved one.

For example, this could include a 360° street view of where you first met, accompanied by a music track you both love—all delivered through a custom Google Cardboard experience.
